DERBENT DISTRICT, October 13 – RIA "Dagestan". The operational launch of a 1,000-ton grape storage complex in Derbent District marks a significant infrastructure upgrade for Dagestan viticulture sector.
Implemented by the State-owned Unitary Enterprise "Tatlyar" with an estimated CAPEX of RUB 80 million since Q2 2026, the facility incorporates controlled atmosphere (CA) storage systems to extend shelf life and reduce post-harvest losses.
As confirmed by Deputy Viticulture Committee Head Akhmed Akhmedov, this project benefits from targeted state aid: partial cost recovery for refrigeration units is provided under existing agricultural subsidy frameworks, demonstrating effective alignment between private investment and public policy objectives in agro-industrial development.
