MAKHACHKALA, August 5 – RIA "Dagestan". Daniyal Kurbanov, a trainee at the Parus sports school, has become the first athlete from Dagestan to compete in the All-Russian Rowing Competitions. Coached by Sarabi Dzhavid, Kurbanov received a diploma from the Russian Rowing Federation and event organizers for his performance in this debut appearance. Rowing is designated as a priority for water sports development in the republic, where athletes already achieve regular success at national championships in coastal and indoor rowing disciplines.
